New Florida State University research has found that the gut reactions people have about each other shortly after their marriage helps predict whether they’ll still be together 4 years later. That’s the conclusion of a study of 135 newlywed couples who took a test designed to elicit their subconscious doubts. Previous research indicates that negative automatic attitudes early in a relationship are more likely than conscious ones to cause problems later on. |
