10 Year Old Girl with Autism nails Hallelujah Song!

When Kaylee Rogers, 10, first came to her small school in Northern Ireland, the little girl with autism and ADHD was very quiet around other students and rarely spoke up in class.

Four years later, a love of music has transformed Kaylee into a confident singer now sharing her amazing voice with the world. Her show-stopping version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” at this year’s holiday choir performance at Killard House Special School in Donaghadee has drawn raves from around the world.

Would You Stay Here?

You Can Stay on a Tropical Private Island for Less Than $500 a Night!
If you thought you had to be a millionaire or billionaire to vacation on a private island, a current Airbnb posting shows that it can be more affordable that you’d believe, with a private island in Belize available for just $495 a night. Bird Island is a tiny island inside a coral reef, located about 20 minutes from the nearest village of Placencia. The on-island dwelling has three bedrooms and a bathroom, and there’s also a sundeck, barbecue, lookout tower and two kayaks. A minimum stay of four days is required, but that includes transportation to and from the island from Placencia.

Which Color will GO??

Crayola is making a big change. The manufacturer says for the first time in it’s 100-year history it will retire a color from it’s 24-count crayon box. The color hasn’t been revealed yet, and the company says it will live stream the decision on Friday, March 31st, which is National Crayon Day. The current colors that make up a Crayola box are red, yellow, blue, brown, orange, green, violet, black, carnation pink, yellow orange, blue green, red violet, red orange, yellow green, blue violet, white, violet red, dandelion, cerulean, apricot, scarlet, green yellow, indigo and gray.

Want a Rose That’ll Last FOREVER?

A luxury flower company in London is selling “one hundred percent natural” ‘Beauty and the Beast’ roses that it claims last forever if kept in their original glass domes, or up to three years if exposed to air, without requiring sunlight and water.

Like the magical flower that became synonymous with the 1991 Disney animation movie ‘Beauty and the Beast’, the roses sold by London-based Forever Rose seem to defy all logic. As long as they are kept under their protective glass covers, they never whither, regardless of the conditions they are kept in. They don’t require any water or sunlight.

So what’s the secret behind these real ‘Beauty and the Beast’ roses? Forever Rose says that they are one hundred percent natural flowers “derived from the mineral rich volcanic soils of Ecuador in South America” and set themselves apart “with their uniquely strong petals which grow up to ten times thicker and five times larger than any other blooms available on the market.”

Forever Rose Company uses a “secret potion” to preserve the flowers, but would not reveal any of the ingredients.

The company’s most popular flower arrangement is the Bella Rose, a single stem red rose preserved under a glass dome, just like the one in ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Prices for it start at $200.

Even if you were to take them out of the provided glass dome, for some reason, the company claims that the roses, which come in 30 colors and several types of arrangements, will last for up to three years. But having your own enchanted rose isn’t cheap, as these preserved flowers cost between $200 – $4,000, depending on the size and complexity of the arrangement.

How would you describe the Mona Lisa’s smile?

Scientists Think They Figured Out Mona Lisa’s Smile

It is a mystery that has vexed the art world for centuries: Is Mona Lisa’s famous smile happy? The answer is overwhelmingly “yes,” according to a new study. German researchers report that nearly everyone shown altered images of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous brunette perceived the original as happy. “We really were astonished,” neuroscientist Juergen Kornmeier said. The point of the analysis was to determine how people respond to visual clues such as facial expressions. Researchers chose to study reactions to the 16th-century masterpiece because of the “emotional ambiguity” of her expression. To some observers, they note, Mona Lisa’s slight smile appears to dissolve into a sneer the longer you stare at it. But overall, 97% of the people surveyed deemed her “happy.”

What does that smile say to you?

Just happy? Or is she a touch mischievous, or even flirtatious? If there was a word balloon in the picture, what would she be saying?
