Want a Rose That’ll Last FOREVER?

A luxury flower company in London is selling “one hundred percent natural” ‘Beauty and the Beast’ roses that it claims last forever if kept in their original glass domes, or up to three years if exposed to air, without requiring sunlight and water.

Like the magical flower that became synonymous with the 1991 Disney animation movie ‘Beauty and the Beast’, the roses sold by London-based Forever Rose seem to defy all logic. As long as they are kept under their protective glass covers, they never whither, regardless of the conditions they are kept in. They don’t require any water or sunlight.

So what’s the secret behind these real ‘Beauty and the Beast’ roses? Forever Rose says that they are one hundred percent natural flowers “derived from the mineral rich volcanic soils of Ecuador in South America” and set themselves apart “with their uniquely strong petals which grow up to ten times thicker and five times larger than any other blooms available on the market.”

Forever Rose Company uses a “secret potion” to preserve the flowers, but would not reveal any of the ingredients.

The company’s most popular flower arrangement is the Bella Rose, a single stem red rose preserved under a glass dome, just like the one in ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Prices for it start at $200.

Even if you were to take them out of the provided glass dome, for some reason, the company claims that the roses, which come in 30 colors and several types of arrangements, will last for up to three years. But having your own enchanted rose isn’t cheap, as these preserved flowers cost between $200 – $4,000, depending on the size and complexity of the arrangement.

How would you describe the Mona Lisa’s smile?

Scientists Think They Figured Out Mona Lisa’s Smile

It is a mystery that has vexed the art world for centuries: Is Mona Lisa’s famous smile happy? The answer is overwhelmingly “yes,” according to a new study. German researchers report that nearly everyone shown altered images of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous brunette perceived the original as happy. “We really were astonished,” neuroscientist Juergen Kornmeier said. The point of the analysis was to determine how people respond to visual clues such as facial expressions. Researchers chose to study reactions to the 16th-century masterpiece because of the “emotional ambiguity” of her expression. To some observers, they note, Mona Lisa’s slight smile appears to dissolve into a sneer the longer you stare at it. But overall, 97% of the people surveyed deemed her “happy.”

What does that smile say to you?

Just happy? Or is she a touch mischievous, or even flirtatious? If there was a word balloon in the picture, what would she be saying?

A Life Lesson…

Sometimes life’s lessons come from those with the least experience….

This is the of story of two five-year-old boys from Kentucky, one white and one black and it’s teaching people about racial harmony.

This is Jax (left) and his best friend Reddy (right)

Jax and Reddy rockin’ their identical look!

Jax and his mom were discussing his wild hair. His mother told him that he needed a haircut soon. He said that he wanted his head shaved really short so he could look like his friend Reddy. He said he couldn’t wait to go to school with his hair like Reddy’s so that his teacher wouldn’t be able to tell them apart. He thought it would be so hilarious to confuse his teacher with the same haircut. Here’s a picture of Jax and Reddy from their Christmas program. I’m sure you all see the resemblance. If this isn’t proof that hate and prejudice is something that is taught I don’t know what is. The only difference Jax sees in the two of them is their hair.

Eight Specific Steps to a Happy & Healthy Marriage!

Experts have revealed the eight specific steps to a happy and healthy marriage, including never changing each other and complimenting each other!

1) Never change each other: Experts say those little quirks were what drew you to your partner in the first place so you should never try to change them. Therapists say the most successful couples are the ones who recognize and appreciate the differences between them and their partner.

2) Compliment them! Relationship expert John Gottman found out found that the happiest couples are the ones who voiced their appreciation for each other by sharing looks and touches of gratitude. If your partner is a good parent or a good voice of reason, tell them that!

3) Revisit the past; the strongest couples rewrite history by skimming over the bad parts and focusing on the positive memories and times they shared

4) Always listen; as draining as it may be listening to your partner’s gripes is an essential element of any long-term relationship. The most important factor? Never siding with the person your partner is venting about.

5) Don’t get too comfortable; whilst it can’t be easy to get into a routine of laying out in your pajamas and watching TV together, the happiest couples are the ones who date, tell each other how good they look and do fun things together to keep the spark alive.

6) Do chores together: One of the most common sources of tension in any relationship is household chores. So, to avoid arguments over who does the washing up, do it together. Experts say sitting down together to pay the bills, do the ironing and wash the dishes are rituals that will strengthen any relationship.

7) Work out together: Working out together is the key to a happy and healthy relationship. Even if you’re on the treadmill and he’s in the weight room it’s a way to vent your first frustrations together while keeping your mind and body healthy.

8) Take a weekly walk; every couple should take a 30 minute weekly walk together. Experts say it’s a great way to catch up on what’s going on in each other’s lives and walk away life’s stress.
