Mona is my sister. Not only has she adopted her grandson, but she has spent the last year caring for my 4 children. She has made hundreds of meals, gone to dozens and dozens of doctors, dentist and therapy appointments. Arranged transportation for school and visits and daycare. Made sure every one of them had special birthdays and holidays, while ensuring my own special days were celebrated. She has been the warm blanket that surrounded us all when our lives became dark. She has done all of this while keeping her own schedule for her own family and her career. She has been a hairdresser for 40 years this year and so many people in the community know and love her. She works at Studio 3 Salon.
She’s a friend, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, a wife, and most importantly, to me, a sister.
I want to say thank you by nominating her as the hardest working woman. She deserves it, and more. Thank you, Mona!
