Diem is the kind of woman who gives so much of herself to the people around her, often without ever asking for anything in return. As a nail salon owner, she has worked incredibly hard to build more than just a business. She has created a place where people can walk in, sit down, talk about their lives, laugh, and leave feeling a little better about themselves. She takes her time with every person because to her, they aren’t just another customer. She genuinely cares about making people happy.
What I admire most about Diem is her heart. She is naturally someone who puts others before herself. Her compassion reaches beyond her clients and into everything she does, especially when it comes to animals. She absolutely loves cats, and seeing an animal abandoned, scared, or hurt genuinely breaks her heart. She is vegan because her love for animals is something she carries into the way she chooses to live her own life.
Owning a small business takes strength. It means long days, sacrifices, stress, and continuing to show up even when things aren’t easy. Diem does all of that while still finding room in her heart to care for everyone else.
That is why I believe Diem represents what Working Woman of the Week should be about. She is hardworking, compassionate, independent, and incredibly giving. Her success isn’t only measured by the salon she has built, but by the people she has made feel beautiful, welcomed, and cared for along the way. Women like Diem don’t always stop to recognize everything they have accomplished because they’re too busy taking care of everyone else. Sometimes, they deserve to have someone stop and recognize them.
